Why? Because Teak Imports manufactures, imports and sells solid teak patio furniture, eliminating two middlemen and passing the savings on to you.
Only the finest quality teak (Tectona grandis) is used in the manufacturing of our furniture. No other timber is as fine grained, as attractive in color and as impervious to the effects of sun, rain, frost or snow. Featuring mortise and tenon joinery and hardware of rustproof solid brass or stainless steel, each piece is hand-rubbed to a soft, natural finish that requires no special care. Chairs, tables and benches are designed to mix and match so you may customize your set any way you like.
Teak has been used in Europe for garden furniture since the first benches were constructed from the salvaged teak decks of scrapped World War One battleships. These benches are still found in Hyde Park in London. Since teak is a uniquely valuable wood, it is plantation grown in Indonesia. Teak Imports uses only the top grade, kiln-dried teak that is ecologically grown and responsibly harvested.
Teak Imports has their own factory in Central Java, Indonesia. Our production manager performs deliberate hands-on inspection of each piece of furniture. Upon approval the teak furniture is wrapped and shipped to our showroom/warehouse in Costa Mesa California, and to our retail outlet in Kailua-Kona, Hawaii
